A feature designed before it's plastered
Dimensions agreed early
We plan screen height and recess sizes before building closes the space.
Cable access considered
Routes and equipment positions are settled before the plaster finish.
Clean built-in appearance
Smooth plaster and reinforced corners make the feature part of the room.
Make the screen part of the room
A media wall gives your television and equipment a fixed place without relying on loose furniture and visible cables. Good results start with the layout, not the plaster. We discuss screen dimensions, viewing height, recesses and the equipment that must fit within the design. Ventilation and future cable access also need thought before the structure is closed. Once the proportions are agreed, we form the framework, apply plasterboard and prepare the joints and corners. The finished plaster then ties the feature into the room with clean lines and a surface ready for decoration.

Fix sockets and cable routes before finishing
Electrical and audiovisual positions must be settled before boarding and plastering hide the structure. We plan around the agreed locations for sockets, cables, screens and equipment recesses, with the relevant electrical work coordinated at the right stage. Corners and joints are reinforced before the finishing coat is applied. This sequence avoids cutting into a newly plastered feature because one cable was forgotten. Before work starts, we'll confirm dimensions, access and the intended finish. You can also use completed-project images to compare balanced layouts and clean plastered edges.
Frequently asked questions
What should we choose before the media wall is built?
Confirm the screen size, viewing height, equipment, recesses and preferred layout. We also need to know where cables and sockets will sit, so the framework and openings can be planned correctly.
Can electrical work be left until after plastering?
Cable routes and electrical positions should be coordinated before the wall is closed and plastered. Final connections may follow the agreed trade sequence, but the required spaces and routes must be established early.
Will the media wall be ready for painting?
We plaster the boarded structure to create a smooth decorative surface. It must dry fully before mist coating and painting. We'll explain the drying stage and any areas around equipment openings that need care.
