A practical finish for separate buildings
Substrate inspected first
We check coatings, cracks and masonry before setting the preparation work.
Main house considered
The finish can coordinate with your property or refresh the structure alone.
Edges kept protected
We plan around doors, roof junctions, paving and exposed corners.
Give tired outbuildings a cleaner exterior
A garage or outbuilding can look worn long before the main house, especially where coatings have cracked, edges are exposed or previous finishes have failed. Garage rendering renews those walls and can either coordinate the structure with your property or give it a clean finish of its own. We inspect the masonry, cracks and existing coatings before setting the preparation. Junctions around doors, roof edges and ground levels also shape the specification. Finish options include roughcast and rendered surfaces, selected around the building and the appearance you want.

Choose texture and colour with the building
Previous work includes a K-Rend cream overcoat completed with sunflower chips, which gives a useful visual example of how colour and aggregate work together. Your building may call for a different combination, so we discuss the preferred finish rather than treating one example as the only answer. Clear access is needed around the walls, while doors, nearby paving and adjoining surfaces are protected. Application and curing remain weather dependent. We'll consider those stages when agreeing the schedule, allowing the new exterior to settle before full exposure.
Frequently asked questions
Can garage render match the main house?
We can discuss texture, aggregate and colour with the main property in mind. An exact visual match depends on the existing materials and age, but the new finish can be chosen to sit comfortably alongside it.
Can you render over an old garage coating?
Only if the existing background is suitable and firmly attached. We inspect old coatings, cracks and loose material first, then explain the preparation or removal needed before the new finish.
What access is needed around an outbuilding?
We need clear working space around the relevant walls for materials and equipment. Doors, stored items and nearby surfaces should remain accessible for protection, while the perimeter must be safe to work from.
